Tuesday:
Good day to ALL! I hope you had a great break and I want to hear all about it. In case you have not figured it out yet, I love telling and listening to stories. We have lots to do today. The first thing I would like you to do is tell me about your Thanksgiving break. Nothing big, just a few sentences describing highlights from your holiday. Period 1
We are going to start a whole new project; the Adirondack Chair, End Table, and Lazy Susan. Yes, totally awesome! You will be working in groups of three for this project and you will be evaluated on how well you work as a team and individual. You will be choosing your groups today and then getting to work.
Tasks-
  • Choose Groups
  • Break Down Barrels
  • Wash Staves
  • Stack and Store Staves
  • Sand Down Lids
  • Names (in pencil) on Lids
Tim, James and Paul will be working on the garden and cleaning the classroom.

Period 7
Today we address the concrete slabs and attack the garden. This will be a team effort that will take some patience. We will choose groups and work in those teams today. Our goals for the day.
Goals-
  • Grind bottom edges of countertops
  • Flip countertops over
  • Polish countertops 50-3000 grit
  • Load and haul bark
  • Spread bark
  • Layout and set bender board
  • Cut roots

Thursday:
For those of you who went to the FFABanquet last night I hope you enjoyed yourself. The food and friendship was awesome.

Period 1
Big day for us today. We start the Adirondack chairs! We will go over a few items that will need to be addressed every work day. After that we will get started on the chairs and our goal is to finish up the front H frame before the period ended.
Week One Evaluation

Period 7
We are going to continue on with the Lazy Susans today. I had Dylan make a jig for us to use when routering out the lines for the oak supports. Hopefully that will helpful and save us some time in shop. The goal for today is to have every group finished sanding and routering our theie barrel top.
